First licenced in 1973 as G8IAX, I eventually managed to pass a morse test then waited months for a callsign with consecutive letters of the alphabet. G4LMN. It’s nice in CW, OK with phonetics but it does not roll nicely off the tongue as letters. I also use my middle name, Ron, on the air as it’s so much easier to say than David.

I am on the HF bands and six, mostly during the daytime during the week.

My location is 20 Kilometres north west from London.
